On Empathy

Such a lovely piece.

What is the best way to ease someone’s pain and suffering? In this beautifully animated RSA Short, Dr Brené Brown reminds us that we can only create a genuine empathic connection if we are brave enough to really get in touch with our own fragilities.

Elements of Design

Toronto designer Matt Greenwood recently created this brief video about design principles… with a little nudge towards breaking them.

Easter Promenade

I dunno. There’s something simply charming about this little black rabbit strolling across the pages of a book (well, hopping, really…) as he moves from one encounter to the next. A sweet piece of bunny-themed animation. Happy Easter, everyone – enjoy the weekend!

Halloween in Motion

I couldn’t decide which Halloween video to feature this year. So, I figured, “what the heck, each one is only a minute long” and decided to offer up this two-for-one. The first was made by Freezelight in Moscow, Russia and the second designed by Michael Dibblee of Vancouver, BC. Hope they help get you in the holiday spirit! (Hee hee! Get it? Spirit? No? Hmpf.)
