Today’s Track – Comfortably Numb, Scissor Sisters

Oh, music lovers… Some of you are sure to wash your hands of me all together after this one. I may have taken my love of absurd dance covers for classic rock anthems one step too far today. In my defense, I discovered this track about 10 years ago at Colette in Paris as I was purchasing my annual CD compilation. So see, it’s bonified! Surely, Colette – the ultimate hipster barometer – wouldn’t lead me astray?  Besides, they’re forecasting a high of 0° F in Minneapolis today, with a low of -16° F (and I don’t even want to think about what the wind chill will be doing…), so the “numb” theme seems apropos. I’m pretty sure getting my groove on to this tune is one of the best ways to warm up and snub the chill in the air.  Comfortably Numb by Scissor Sisters from the album Colette no.4, 2002.
